Amazon CPC Calculator

Work out the maximum CPC you can bid on Amazon PPC without eating into profit. Choose a method, fill in the fields, and get your max CPC bid instantly.

Updated 2026: this calculator now factors in conversion rate. The earlier version returned the ad budget available per sale, which overstated the per-click bid.

Questions

What is max CPC on Amazon?
Max CPC is the highest you can pay for a click before an ad stops being profitable. It is the ad spend one sale can absorb, divided by the number of clicks it takes to make that sale.
Why does the calculator need my conversion rate?
Because a click is not a sale. If one in ten clicks converts, a sale that can absorb $8 of ad spend is only worth about $0.80 per click. Without a conversion rate you get the budget per sale, not a bid.
Which method should I use?
Use the profit margin method when you know your unit economics and want the spend a sale can absorb. Use the target ACoS method when you are managing to an advertising cost of sale target. Both give the same answer when the inputs agree.

Bidding is downstream of your listing.

A listing that converts badly makes every bid worse, because you pay for the clicks either way. ListPilot scores yours against the factors that correlate most strongly with how Amazon ranks listings, and quantifies the gap.
